Limey Looking to get some sand between his teeth

Postby redeye » Mar 08, 2010 1:10 pm

Hi I'm from England and I'm looking to come over to the states next month and want to play some desert games while i'm over there. Can someone point me to where i can find a good game?
Also what are the FPs limits and rules over there etc. ive been playing over here for about 2 years now and my loadout is normally Desert Dpm so thought I would use it somewhere more sandy than England lol :D

Can you be more specific as to where you will be playing?

Some regions in Nevada are more loose than others. Here in Reno, events are generally planned at least one week in advance where FPS is not limited pending your ability to use your weapon without hurting anyone.

I'm not too sure on the events for the Las Vegas area, as that info is a little more scattered.

There is also a Northern California organization that you can look into that can plan a really great game:

Well Las Vegas only has one game announced and it's this weekend and announcing a game can be anywhere from 2 days before hand to a month before. Unfortunately due to BLMs and Rangers we only have one field out in the desert (APEX) it's a combination between desert and swamp (swamp is mostly dead brown bushes) most people wear Multicam or desert and blend in pretty well. Our FPS rules are 365 FPS (roughly 111 MPS) with .25 Airsoft Elite BB's (not what you have to use for play)

The players tend to switch from field to field and try not to stick to the same location. These locations change from forest (west of Reno) to light-desert (anywhere not west of Reno).

The same goes for the style of game - they try not to stick to any one type and several types are played throughout the day.
'Capture the flag' is probably the least favorite, while the most common is a 'complete the objective' tactical style game. Another common is a 'search and destroy' type which is basically a form of team elimination.

hmm sounds good, no matter where I play i would sadly have to borrow a gun as the airports dont like it when you have one stashed in your suitcase lol

Another alternative is to ship your gear to a trusted party here in the United States then ship it back to yourself before you leave for home.

Depending on where you're playing and whether I can attend that day, I have a loaner or two.
